Lunches and Sandwiches
- Lunches are usually available in the RAL main cafeteria in R22, but NOT at weekends when ISIS has no user run. Check beforehand - you can always stockpile sandwiches in the R76 fridge.
- Ready-made sandwiches and hot snacks are also available weekdays in the R1 coffee lounge.
- Fresh sandwiches and some hot dishes are available in Café Electron (in the Electron Building by the bus station) during the week
- "Pub-grub" style food is served at the café in the Garden Centre in Chilton
- Most local pubs will serve food at lunchtime - usually 12 till 2, but many now serve 11 till 3.
- Freshly-made sandwiches are available on weekdays from Bloomers Sandwich Bar in Harwell Campus until about 2
- If no other option, prepacked sandwiches are available from the convenience store in Harwell Campus, the shops at the petrol stations in Rowstock, Blewbury or the Chilton Services, or the M&S Food at Milton Park (open 24/7).
Self-catering
MICE have access to a kitchen with fridge, kettle and microwave in R76, and another (which also has a stove and saucepans available) in the Mess Room in R12.
There are Sainsbury's, Budgens and Co-op supermarkets in Didcot, Sainsbury's and Waitrose supermarkets in Wantage, and a Waitrose in central Abingdon; all reachable by bus from RAL.
If you have your own transport there is also a Co-op in Steventon; and a Tesco on the far side of Didcot which is open 24/6 (i.e. continuously Monday till late Saturday, but only a few hours on Sunday).

RAL
During ISIS user runs, evening meals are available on site in either R22 or Ridgeway House. Otherwise (and this includes machine physics) there will generally be nothing available at weekends.
